Tijuca Rainforest Jeep and Hiking Tour in Rio de Janeiro

Enter the Tijuca Rain Forest in an open Jeep to see the sharp contrast between the "stone jungle" and a tropical rainforest in the middle of a big city.

We pass by the Cachoeira dos macacos (Monkeys Waterfall). At Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), you can take pictures while we explain the history of the reforestation process of that forest and the importance of the Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest). We will also pass by the Mesa do Imperador (Emperor's Table), Cascatinha (Taunay's Waterfall), and Capela Mayrink (Mayrink Chapel).

Next, you will enjoy an approximate 1 hour hike through an easy trail where we focus on the botany of the rainforest. You'll enjoy direct contact with the local nature ecosystem. During this tour we will see varieties of tropical fruits, trees, and animal life - such as monkeys, birds and butterflies.

Summary:

MUST BE ORDERED AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE TOUR DATE. This tour includes free hotel pick-up and drop-off at many Rio de Janeiro Hotels and at the Cruise Ship Port. Child rate applies to children ages 2 to 12 accompanied by a paying adult. Children under 2 are free. Lunch is NOT included in this tour. Rates are per person in US dollars and include tax. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.

There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
