Come and enjoy the most famous spectacle of the authentic Brazilian folklore! It is in the Plataforma Show that you will feel the effervescent rhythm of Samba, that you will hear the most famous songs of this musical genre. It was inside of the cariocas' joints, with the beat of forks and glasses or "batucadas" on matchboxes that the most beautiful Samba songs were written. Night in Rio makes the heart beat faster. Music and joy, key ingredients to a good nightlife, go together with a permanent parade of artists in the show houses.
A delicious dinner in a typical Rio Barbeque House is included. After dinner, you'll be taken to Plataforma to enjoy a spectacular Samba music show. You will feel the energy expressed in Carnival - an enchantment that touches all, a charm that is distinctly Rio!

Thirty beautiful mulata-dancers together with the male cast take you on a culture journey of popular Brazilian music.
It all started when the Portuguese settlers couldn't impose their habits, religion or slavery on the natives who used to live free on the shores and in the rainforests of their land. The only way found by the settlers was to bring in Africans for labor. That also brought their culture. Enslaved in the deep bilges of the ships, the Africans felt a huge homesickness for a home to which they could not return. They sang of their suffering, using the sound of improvised drums. Their moans contained marks of several generations, the legacy of their ancestors.
It was the mixture of three races - Portuguese, Native Brazilians and Africans - with a little of joy mixed to their sadness, that molded the Brazilian people and produced the essence of the popular culture of this country. This culture is displayed on a great stage full of lights, songs, dances, luxury and a flaring beauty - an unforgettable show!
