Petropolis Tour from Rio de Janeiro

The city of Petropolis is located 60 km away from Rio and it has been called the Imperial City since the Emperor Pedro II. Settled by the Germans, Petropolis preserves Brazilian history with its buildings and charming streets.

Upon arrival in Petropolis, you will visit the Imperial Museum, which has been the summer residence of the Emperor D. Pedro II. Among the key artifacts seen here are furniture, the crown of gold, pearls and diamonds used by D. Pedro I and D. Pedro II.

Your small group tour continues to the Gothic Cathedral - final resting place for Princess Isabel, D. Pedro II, and his wife.

You will also visit the Crystal Palace, built in France and mounted in Brazil, destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel.

Child rate applies to children ages 3 to 12 accompanied by a paying adult. Children under 3 are free. Lunch is NOT included in this tour. Rates are per person in US dollars. There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
