Tijuca Rainforest Jeep and Hiking Tour in Rio de Janeiro

Enter the Tijuca Rain Forest on this small group tour, in an open Jeep to see the sharp contrast between the "stone jungle" and a tropical rainforest in the middle of a big city.

You'll pass by the Cachoeira dos macacos (Monkeys Waterfall). At Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), you can take pictures while your guides explain the history of the reforestation process of that forest and the importance of the Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest). You will also pass by the Mesa do Imperador (Emperor's Table), Cascatinha (Taunay's Waterfall), and Capela Mayrink (Mayrink Chapel).

Next, you will enjoy an approximate 1 hour hike through an easy trail where you'll focus on the botany of the rainforest. You'll enjoy direct contact with the local nature ecosystem. During this tour you will see varieties of tropical fruits, trees, and animal life - such as monkeys, birds and butterflies.

There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
